We are looking for a (Sr.) Technician Assays, who has experience in techniques used for virus analysis such as ELISA, (q)PCR, cell based assays (e.g. potency assays), and Western Blot. Also experience in working with quality systems, such as GMP or GLP, is required. Hands-on experience with HPLC analytical techniques is an advantage.
Within Batavia Biosciences, the Assay department develops and performs biochemical and analytical assays in close collaboration with the upstream and downstream departments. Assays are developed within the team or are transferred from other laboratories. The assays are performed on purified and in-process biopharmaceutical samples (e.g. viral vaccines and viral vectors) for product release, stability studies and in-process sample monitoring. Assay development and analysis can take place in research, development and/or QC (GMP) settings.
As a (Sr.) Technician Assays you will be responsible for executing your own experiments under supervision of a Scientist. You will contribute to development and qualification of assays, writing protocols, reporting results but also conducting routine sample analysis when necessary. You will support and execute general maintenance lab tasks. You will join a stimulating group of international researchers in a very collaborative environment. As part of this group, your personal as well as your scientific growth are encouraged and developed. This position reports to a Scientist in the Assay group.
