We are looking for a Technician Assays/QC, who has experience with routine laboratory testing of samples and reporting for both R&D and QC analysis. Examples of techniques used for biomolecule analysis are ELISA, (q)PCR, cell based assays (e.g. potency assays) and Western Blot. Experience with stability studies, controlled shipments, release of materials and/or environmental monitoring is an advantage.
Within Batavia Biosciences the Assay department performs biochemical and analytical assays in close collaboration with the upstream and downstream departments. The assays are performed on purified and in-process biopharmaceutical samples (e.g. vaccines, viruses, antibodies and therapeutic proteins) for product release, stability-, formulation- and degradation studies and in-process sample monitoring. Assay development and analysis for these purposes can take place in research, development and/or QC (GMP) settings.
As a Technician Assays/QC you will be responsible for executing your own experiments under supervision of a Scientist. You will contribute to sample analysis, reporting results and data trending but also contribute to the development and qualification of assays as well as writing protocols and reports, when necessary. You will support and execute general maintenance lab tasks. You will join a stimulating group of international researchers in a very collaborative environment. As part of this group, your personal as well as your scientific growth are encouraged and developed. This position reports to a QC Scientist in the Assay group.
